AUSTIN'S HOME PAGE

Christmas 2011

We inaugurated Dad's nearly complete west wing addition to the house with our Christmas celebration this year. Lucked out finding a free 7 foot tree left behind by vendors. Covered the construction paper floor with a braided rug that's been in the family for many decades. Photos below show Austin celebrating with holiday popcorn from Gail and Don. The arrival of their gift package kicked off the holiday season and our four year old could scarcely wait to open the package. Moving and hiding the box became a fun sport. The video below shows Austin and robot dancing with the box. Austin looks like a real doctor in an outfit we got with uncle Paul's gift card, which also secured a radio controlled rescue helicopter which lowers a basket on command. The shark floating in the scene is a radio controlled robot which wags its fin to swim through the air. Sharkie, from Pavani has become like a pet! Austin can also be seen celebrating with a package from Patty and Phyllis, glow planets and bracelets. He's wearing a playable electric guitar t-shirt from me. Bob joined us and did a great job grilling steaks to add to our stir fry dinner. Below he shows Austin the lucky 7 in a talking counting puzzle. We thank him also for a fine expedition jacket that will keep Austin warm this winter. We wish him Happy New Year and merry brewing with a beer making kit! In addition to Sharkie, the other robotic addition to the household is Mint, (aka Sweepie), the floor polisher from Evolution Robotics. Really joined the 21st century going into 2012!
